The oldest independent film festival in the world is is celebrating its 47th annual experience.
Follow @news92fmShowcasing and awarding creative minds, once again, this year WorldFest will be premiering 166 new films from 33 nations all over the world.
Past winners include names like Steve Spielburg and Oliver Stone, making this a great opportunity to meet the Spielburgs of tomorrow, before they become famous.
Unlike other film festivals like, Cannes and Sundance, WorldFest offers 12 competitions where only the deserving are awarded.
Since 1985, commercials too have received honors for their extraordinary story telling. Ridley Scott’s TV commercial for Apple computer titled,1984, and last year’s Budweiser Super Bowl commercial are just two among the big winners of WorldFest.
Bringing Houston ten great days of independent film screenings, the event kicks off April 4th and will run through the 13th at the beautiful AMC studio 30 on Dunvale.
