(HOUSTON, TX)– Katy’s population explosion is more than the post office can keep up with. People are moving into new homes without mailboxes for their mail.

Teresa Garner, a resident of the Firethorne Subdivision, tells KHOU 11 that she spent her first three months retrieving her mail at the local post office — and it wasn’t easy.

Part of the holdup is due to the limited number of vendors approved by the postal service to install locks on mailboxes.
