According to authorities, a driver is dead and a passenger severely injured after a serious accident over the weekend. Harris County deputies arrived at the scene of an accident at Clay Road and Porter around 4:00 a.m. Sunday to find a white Mercedes upside down in a ditch. It is believed that the car rolled over several times.

Reports indicate that the driver was going west on Clay at over 120mph when he went over the small hump crossing Porter; the motorist then lost control of his vehicle.

The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene while the female passenger was taken by Life Flight to Memorial Hermann in serious condition. Neither the name of the victim nor the passenger were released at the time of this report. Harris County deputies continue to investigate the accident.
