Am I the only that feels that the gas prices have been manipulated? Well it seems that I am not.

Attorney General Eric Holder next week will convene the first meeting of government investigators examining whether oil and gasoline prices are being driven higher by illegal manipulation.

Holder reportedly told some new media personnel last week that at least a couple of things are “disturbing” in the energy market and that they will be examined. Ya think?

Now some of you may remember that around Christmas of last year some news outlets were reporting that this summer gas prices could reach as high as 4 dollars a gallon. Now, this was “before” the uproar in the middle east with Egypt and Libya, which is the current reason given for the spikes. Last year analysts said that it would escalate  because of rising demand in developing countries, especially China. China’s oil consumption is expected to rise 5 percent next year; that compares with less than 1 percent growth forecast for the U.S.

Well I guess, but it just seems fishy to me. I blame the oil speculators and traders which artificially raise the price of oil do to a fear of  shortage, not an actual shortage. What is that about?

Well anyway, we as believers have to trust that God will supply our needs no matter how high gas prices rise, but it would sure be nice not having to be forced to give our hard earned money to big oil companies that don’t need it.

This is just my opinion though!
