“My dream was about developing computer games that would teach children all over the world about God. In my dream, a very large broom was sweeping out games to children. At the end, the children came together in a circle. The children were from all over the world and were all playing with electronic games.

This was my inspiration to create computer Bible games for children to learn about God. This was also my inspiration for the design of this web page and the name SWEEP which means ‘Spread the Word in Every Earthly Place.'”

Having taught Sunday School for young ages, and having homeschooled my own children for a time, I know playing a game can be an excellent way of learning.

With that in mind, I wanted to let parents know about a new opportunity for kids to play Bible games online through SweeptheWord.com. The acronym “SWEEP” stands for: Spread the Word in Every Earthly Place.

The SweeptheWord website currently offers a Noah’s Ark game, and future games are said to include: “Creation Globe,” “Learning Numbers and Letters with Jonah,” “Fruits of the Spirit,” “Roman Soldier,” and others.

Diane Roark is the creator of the website, she describes the mission of SweeptheWord as to provide an exciting and creative way to help children all over the world learn about God’s Word. Since all children enjoy playing on the computer, our goal is to use the computer in a positive way to teach the Word of God. We pray that children will come back to this website over and over again. “And He (Jesus) said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.'” -Mark 16:15 Our goal is to SWEEP (Spread the Word in Every Earthly Place).
