After This Year’s Oscar Special, Walters Says It’s A Wrap

Barbara Walters is bringing an end to a broadcasting tradition.  “The Wall Street Journal” reports that the veteran newswoman has announced that this year’s Oscar night interview special will be her last.  For 29 years, Walters has produced interview specials which ran as companion pieces to Hollywood’s most anticipated awards ceremony.  Walters told her co-hosts on “The View” this week that after the long run, quote, “I felt it was enough.”  Oscar nominees Sandra Bullock and Mo’Nique are confirmed for this year’s special, which will air on March 7th.  In years past, the specials have featured “Juno” star Ellen Page, Harrison Ford, Hugh Jackman, and tween sensation Miley Cyrus.
