HOUSTON, TX

As a former player of the University of Houston, I can truley say that I very proud and excited about the moves and aquistions that head coach Kevin Sumlin is making to make the Cougars a National Power House in NCAA Division I football. Not only has recruiting improved but, great coaching changes are happening as well. He recently hired former Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Brian Stewart to improve the cougar defense.

If you’ve never heard of Stewart, He has a in depth background coming out of the NFL spending last season as defensive assistant with the Philadelphia Eagles after being dismissed by the Dallas Cowboys in which he was there for a full two seasons.

Last season the Cougars were 10-4 and, had the No. 1 offense in the country. But the defense waas one of the worst in the nation. With the addition of coach Stewart, I feel this can put the cougars in a very promising position when it comes to rankings next season.

Stewart is also no stranger to the Houston market. He began his NFL coaching career as a defensive backs coach with the Houston Texans from 2002-03. Let wish Him well!
