A woman stole two cars, crashing both, and managed to finagle a ride from a third motorist during a wild Montgomery County chase late Wednesday before she finally was arrested, authorities said.
The woman, whose identity was not immediately available, started the chain of events by stealing a pickup truck on Steubner before quickly crashing into another car, Montgomery County deputies said.
The ran off into a neighborhood and carjacked a second vehicle, then crashed into another car at Interstate 45 and Texas 242 before rear-ending a pickup at Loop 336, deputies said. She ran to a gas station and convinced a motorist to give her a ride, but law officers surrounded that vehicle and arrested her.
There were injuries involved in the three collisions, but it wasn’t immediately clear how many people were hurt, or how badly.
