Police in Sugar Land are actively searching for a man who burglarized 3 local churches.
The man is said to have stolen from Sugar Land Family Church, St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, and Faith Lutheran Church. The suspect is believed to be a black male in his mid to late 20s, wearing a long-sleeve grey sweatshirt and sweatpants, with a goatee-style beard and athletic build. He was seen on church surveillance cameras leaving on the night of the thefts.
According to SLPD, the man broke outside windows to get inside the churches. He then allegedly used a screwdriver and tire tool to force entry into the rooms. In all, he rummaged through offices and storage rooms during the night of September 14 and September 15 and one of the churches reported a small amount of cash missing.
