Houston police will use bomb sniffing dogs Thursday morning as they search through a Houston synagogue.
Bomb threats were made to Congregation Beth Israel and Congregation Or Ami. Congregation Beth Israel said in a statement that the threat was received for Thursday, May 2.
Beth Israel’s Day School, The Shlenker School, will be closed Thursday. Police bomb-sniffing dogs will sweep the building in the morning, according to an official statement.
The school is expected to reopen on Friday.
Congregation Or Ami does not have a day school. Police have searched the facility and are taking security precautions.
