It has now been a year since a World War II Veteran was murdered inside of his home in Houston. His family drove from Louisiana over the weekend seeking to answer the question ‘who murdered Percy Harmon?’ and canvassed neighborhoods seeking an answer to that question as well as closure in the case.

The crime happened sometime over the Labor Day weekend in 2011. It is believed that Harmon was the victim of a home invasion. Concerned neighbors found Harmon’s body inside his home in the 45000 block of Leffingwell.

This past Saturday friends and family, determined to help track down Percy’s killer, passed out fliers in the neighborhood where he was killed. They also wore t-shifts with Harmon’s photograph on them.

Despite Crime Stoppers offering a $6,000 reward for information leading to an arrest, police do not have any leads on Harmon’s killer.

That is why Harmon’s family drove from Lafayette, Louisiana and walked several blocks to remind residents of Harmon’s death and get answers as to who killed the WWII veteran.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
