As we all know, there are plenty of restaurants in and around Houston! You have your dinners; drive-thru, and watering holes. There’s the small mom and pop burger shacks.
Of course, there are the five star restaurants that are the best of the best. The ones your friends talk about at the picnic. It’s that spot your mother visits on her birthday once a year. Yeah. That’s the one that might take a bite out of your paycheck because it’s a bit out of the ordinary.
But what if for just one month you could go to some of the best establishments the city has to offer and pay one low price, while helping to feed families in the area at the same time?
The simple answer to that is: Houston Restaurant Weeks 2012 benefiting the Houston Food Bank, August 1st-31st. According to the annual event’s website, this event has raised more than $1.7 million to fight hunger in Houston since 2003. This year’s event includes restaurants in the Galveston and MontgomeryCounty with one hundred percent of all proceeds going towards their respective area food banks.
