The Stanford Band was banned from performing during halftime of the Orange Bowl on Monday night because officials feared their performance would mock LeBron James.

According to an Orlando Sentinel report, the Stanford Marching Unit Team or SMUT was pulled from performing a halftime show called “Recent Events in the Pro Sports World in Miami”.

The Orlando Sentinel report says Orange Bowl officals feared the band would make fun of James and his nationally televised show, “The Decision”, where he spurned Cleveland for Miami.

The Stanford Band has become nationally known for outragous perfomances including mocking the murders of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman during a performance during a game in Los Angeles.
