A recent promo for the 15th cycle of “America’s Next Top Model” has forced Tyra Banks to issue an apology. The clip, which features Banks and the judges praising a contestant’s incredibly small waist, has drawn quite a bit of criticism in the past few days. In a statement released on her website, Tyra.com, the media mogul says she’s “truly sorry” about the promo, adding that it has been “removed from the CW airwaves.” Tyra Banks states, quote, “To the people who see me as a representation of upholding the fact that beauty comes in all sizes, I personally apologize.” She adds, quote, “The jokes of my fellow judges connected with my edited sound bite sounded like I was supporting unhealthy eating habits. This has never and will never be the case – I am and always will be committed to promoting healthy body image.”
