Rice University VR Lab Study

Source: Radio One / General

Learn how hearing is used when vision is impaired, especially during judgments of collisions with obstacles in the environment. Study participants will be asked to use a virtual reality system to judge when an approaching vehicle would reach them, and when it is safe to start crossing the street. We hope that the results will lead to recommendations for future interventions that benefit people with visual impairments.

Each participant will receive up to $300 plus up to $60 for parking/transportation. We can arrange transportation if needed.

CONTACT: VRLab@rice.edu or 713-348-2432, and provide your email address or phone number and mention this flyer. A brief survey is required prior to participation.
