Former “American Idol” champ Fantasia Barrino will begin to set the record straight.  The R&B singer’s new VH1 reality series debuts tonight, and she can’t wait to give fans an inside look at what is actually going on in her life.  She tells MTV News, quote, “I kind of wanted everyone to hear it from the horse’s mouth, how things kind of went down, what the truth is, and kind of watch me as I rebuild my dynasty and kind of grow up from some of the things that were hindering me.”  Recent speculation had suggested that Fantasia needed “Idol” judge Simon Cowell to save her house from foreclosure.  The vocalist denies that rumor, but does acknowledge that she had to take care of a few legal issues with her properties because people, quote, “didn’t quite have my back like they said they did.”

Fantasia adds that all the rumors have been embarrassing for her and her family, and she looks forward to showcasing her house and stable lifestyle on her new show.  VH1’s “Fantasia for Real” debuts tonight at 10:00 p.m. Eastern.
