DeMeco Ryans Said Will Anderson Is Out For The Teams Sake

The Houston Texans are coming off the first week of the OTA portion of their offseason program, and coach DeMeco Ryans said defensive end Will Anderson might already be finished with team drills – for the sake of the team.
“Will continues to wreck practice,” Ryans said after Thursday’s practice. “I’m probably going to have to sit him out here soon because we have to be able to actually practice. He just keeps wrecking practice. So just keep doing that, keep causing havoc. That’s what he does. And I was showing guys that’s what he does on Sundays as well. So it’s no surprise Will is the guy for everyone to watch for the intensity at which we operate. That’s how Will Anderson plays. That’s how I want everybody to be.The only two-time unanimous All-American in Alabama’s football history, Anderson is preparing for his fourth NFL season since joining the Texans as the third selection in the 2023 NFL Draft.
CJ Stroud gets called out for his comments about his contract
Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud believes he has earned a contract extension, despite the team not making an offer yet. Stroud stated that he lets his agent handle negotiations and focuses on football. However, his performance in the playoffs raised doubts about his future with the team. There were rumors of a possible trade, but the Texans quickly dismissed them. Stroud’s status as a franchise quarterback is still uncertain, as he has yet to replicate the success of his rookie season.
