My prayers and words of comfort

In this time of deep sorrow, our hearts ache with yours. The tragedy at Camy Mystic has shaken all of us—but none more than you, the families who have lost so much. Please know that we are lifting you in constant prayer.

We may not understand why such suffering enters our lives, but we hold fast to the truth that God is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18), and that He will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).

Your loved ones are now in the eternal care of our Lord, where there is no more pain, no more sorrow, and every tear is wiped away (Revelation 21:4). We trust in Jesus’ promise: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.” (John 11:25)

As a community of faith, we surround you now—with our love, our support, and the peace of Christ. May God give you strength when yours is gone, hope when the days feel dark, and comfort that surpasses all understanding.

You are not alone. We are with you. And more importantly—God is with you.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” —Psalm 34:18

Your loss is shared by a community that cares deeply. And though we cannot carry your grief away, we can carry it with you. Let us lift you in prayer when your strength is gone. Let us speak their names with reverence. Let us believe, together, that death is not the end, but a passage into unending grace.

Please know that your grief, your shock, your anger, and your confusion are valid. This tragedy has left a mark on all of us, and it’s okay to not have the words or the strength right now.

In the face of senseless pain, let us hold onto each other more tightly. Let us speak kindness when silence feels unbearable, and offer presence even when we have no answers.

May healing come in time, slowly and gently, and may the strength of your community carry you when you can’t walk alone.

May God surround you with comfort, cover you with peace that passes understanding, and remind you that love never dies—it only changes form.

With love, with sorrow, and with faith,

With love Minister Anthony Valary
