Restaurateur Stratis Morfogen has partnered with singer Patti LaBelle on a line of frozen Chinese food to be sold in supermarkets.
The duo celebrated with LaBelle’s business partners, son Zuri Edwards, Alex Thompson and Charles Suitt, at Morfogen’s Brooklyn Chop House.
LaBelle’s become a pie mogul with her hit line sold at Walmart, and she even whipped one out for dessert at their celebration. Morfogen’s prepping a book, “Damn Good Dumplings.”
LaBelle’s pie line has been a huge success and just recently she expanded her line with a new buttermilk pie. She said “It’s my grandmother’s recipe and this is so good,” LaBelle told TODAY Al and Sheinelle. “I just put a little twist to it — a baby Patti twist.” While that sounds good, her fans are excited to see what her frozen Chinese plates will taste like.
