WE EARNED HISTORY!!! Mayor Sylvester Turner invites all Houstonians to join him for the Houston Astros World Championship Parade and Celebration on Friday, November 3rd at 2:00 p.m. to honor and celebrate the team’s historic 2017 World Series win.

“It’s a true privilege to proudly host this magnificent salute to our hometown team that has earned history,” said Mayor Turner. “As we bounce back from Hurricane Harvey, we are more than ready to welcome our heroes home in proper form.”

The parade staging area between Smith and  I-45 underpass on outbound Allen Parkway will close to traffic at noon. Allen Parkway inbound at Taft will be closed at 1 PM. McKinney exit off 1-45 South will be closed at 1 PM. Allen Parkway exit off I-45 South will remain open.  Feel free to enjoy the parade at any point of the route!

The parade schedule is final. We are not accepting any additional paradeentries. There are no volunteer or vendor opportunities for the parade. Please feel free to view the parade from any point on the route. We do not have bleacher seating. This is completely free and open to the public.

PARKING

Due to Hurricane Harvey, many of the garages downtown are not available. Please consider taking the MetroRail or using PARK & RIDE for the celebration. Street parking around the route is CLOSED. Please look for emergency no parking signs before parking. Cars will be towed for security purposes. If you drive downtown, please use this website to locate a garage: www.downtownhoustonparking.org.

Both Brookfield and SP+  Parking.: 1600 Smith: 500 spaces, The Met: 100-200 spaces, 701 Jefferson: 100-200, paces

Heritage Clay Street Garage: 100 spaces, Heritage Plaza (underground): 150 spaces, 401 W. Dallas (surface lot): 50-75 spaces.

NRG: Harris County Sports & Convention Corp. has agreed to make paradeparking available at NRG Park beginning at 10 AM tomorrow. Guests should enter Gate 10 (Kirby @ McNee) and let the attendant know they’re there for parade parking. Daily rate is $12 and they will direct you to the Orange Lot close to the Metro pedestrian gate leading to the Lightrail platform.

SECURITY

The City of Houston is working closely with multiple law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of all Houstonians.

We’re painting the town orange! Wear your Houston Astros gear. Dress comfortably and please bring plenty of water.
