Serena Williams was eliminated from the 2016 Rio Olympics in the third round of the singles matches against Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina on Tuesday night, falling short 6-4, 6-3.

But we don’t care. To us, Serena will always be #blackgirlmagic.

Here are five reasons we will always love Serena:

She is No. 1.

Since she and and her sister, Venus, stepped on the national scene, they have dominated the tennis world. She is currently ranked No. 1 in women’s singles tennis, and has been ranked No. 1 on six separate occasions by the Women’s Tennis Association. In addition, she has been ranked No. 1 for 179 consecutive weeks, just seven weeks shy of Steffi Graf’s record. Some commentators say she’s the greatest female tennis player of all time.

Serena and Venus literally represent sister love.

Venus and Serena are not just tennis doubles partners, they are best friends. The two, who are only two years apart, were roommates for much of their professional careers, living in their Palm Gardens, Florida, mansion. But they remain neighbors.

They inspires us to get and stay fit.

With just one look at Serena, 34, you are ready to hit the gym — and stay there. Serena challenges body stereotypes by showcasing the beauty of having both muscles and curves. It’s a wonder her body doesn’t have it’s own Twitter page (but there are a few hashtags in her honor).

She’s a business woman.

Tennis is not Serena’s only game. The world’s highest-paid female athlete has a diverse business portfolio that includes endorsements from Beats, Delta Air Lines, IBM, Berlei bras, and Audemars Piguet. Serena also has equity deals with the Home Shopping Network and Mission Athletecare. She and Venus are also minority owners of the NFL’s Miami Dolphins.

She’s Black and proud.

After beating Angelique Kerber and winning Wimbledon this year, Serena raised her fist to show support for Black Lives Matter. The simple, but powerful, pose demonstrated that Serena not only is a champion on the court, but also a champion for human and civil rights.

We hope she rests up for the next challenge.
