Joel Osteen is known the world over as being the voice of Christian influence. Most Americans know Pastor Osteen from his televised Sunday morning sermons from Lakewood Church and his New York Times Best Seller book ‘Your Best Life Now‘. The book remained a The New York Times Best Seller for more than 200 weeks. Pastor Osteen has been on the promotional circuit talking about chrisian relationships and his new book
Pastor Osteen revealed in a recent interview for the radio show Here And Now the following:
“I have Muslims that attend our church and my books sell a lot in Muslim countries as well.”
He furthered shared his observation as pastor:
People don’t like necessarily being associated with religion, with that connotation. Sometimes that means a certain thing politically, and it turns people off. … I believe faith in America is at an all-time high.
Osteen followed it up by saying that he had a group of at least 50 visit his mega-church Lakewood in Houston. Osteen noted during his interview that the U.S. has not been doing a great job keeping an open dialogue with Muslim countries and that this may be to our detriment as Christian followers. We may not be doing our job the way we were commissioned by Jesus.
And I think part of our ministry is, our main theme is Jesus says love God with all your heart and love your neighbor as you love yourself. And I don’t try to put people in a box — OK, they’re Jewish or they’re Catholic, they’re this or they’re that. I just say, ‘you know what, they’re somebody that God’s put in our path for us to love,’ and that’s our philosophy,”

An interesting report was recently released that said nine of the 10 countries with the worst records for persecution of Christians have populations that are at least 50 percent Muslim, according to the assessment of persecution in the Open Doors USA’s World Watch List (WWL) 2015.
