T.D. Jakes is getting his own daytime TV talk show in the fall of 2016.

Tegna Media, formerly Gannett Broadcasting will carry the show in over 20 markets including Atlanta, Cleveland, Dallas and Denver.

“During the show’s test run this summer, Jakes’ audience grew each week in every market. Once viewers found him, they liked him and we look forward to introducing him to a wider audience next fall,” said President of Tegna Media, Dave Lougee.

Jakes career has boomed through his various business ventures, beginning with his Dallas-based church, the Potter’s House. His church has over 30,000 members and over 5 million social media followers.

Jakes says the goal of the show is to “engage a broader audience with relevant and uplifting content (that) is consistent with my years of experience at the intersections of the faith-based, entertainment and business worlds…This is an unprecedented opportunity to bring a new voice to a familiar platform.”
