Addie Mae Pugh lived through the segregated times of the Woodrow WiIson Administration and lived to see an African-American man named Barack Obama hold the same position almost 100 years later. The paternal grandmother of gospel star Earnest Pugh, Mrs. Pugh was born October 15, 1916 in Arkansas. She celebrated her 99th birthday a week ago and passed away October 21st.
Services will be held this Thursday, October 29th @ 12:00 PM at the Gilfield Missionary Baptist Church located at 8335 Pleasant Ridge Road, Arlington, TN 38002. The funeral home is Jefferson Mortuary located at 7788 Church Street, Millington, TN 38053.
