When word spread that Rosie Perez would be joining The View, everyone believed the outspoken Brooklyn-bred actress would be the perfect fit. But now Perez’s journey on the show has come to an end. She’s making an exit to pursue acting full-time. Executive producer Bill Wolff recently sent a note to staff about her decision to leave. “Our friend Rosie Perez has decided to leave the show at the conclusion of this season to pursue full time her love for acting. Stepping into the role of talk show host at the same time she has been starring on Broadway has been incredibly impressive,” read the note. Wolff also mentioned that Rosie is more than welcome to return as a guest. Perez is slated to leave the show at the end of this summer. Read more.


Donovan McNabb Arrested for DUI, Again

Former NFL quarterback Donovan McNabb has found himself in the midst of legal trouble yet again after being arrested for a DUI in Arizona. This is the second time that he was nabbed for a DUI within the last two years. According to reports, McNabb rear-ended a car at a stoplight; none of the people involved in the accident were injured. The Gilbert Police department claims the retired player was under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested on June 28, placed in a holding facility, and released. He spoke about the incident during a recent interview. “There was a story that was released, and I want everybody to be cognizant of it, because I am very aware of it, handling the matter at this particular point,” McNabb said. “But at this point, I have no further information, and as we continue on with the situation, then we’ll let it handle as it will handle itself.” Read more.


Reggae Star Shaggy Has a Plan to Defeat ISIS

Reggae artist Shaggy had laid low for the past few years, but now he’s speaking out to share his thoughts on how we can overcome the issues with terrorist group ISIS. His unorthodox strategy involves reggae music and marijuana. “If they’re listening to Shaggy music or reggae music, they’re not going to want to cut somebody’s head off,” the 46-year-old singer said in a recent interview. “High people don’t want to kill nothing; they want to love. Man, it’ll put them in a vibe. And throw some Bob Marley up in there and there’ll be peace.” Read more.
