An investigation completed Wednesday accuses Rachel Dolezal, the embattled ex-leader of the Spokane, Washington NAACP chapter, of acting inappropriately while serving as a volunteer on the Police Ombudsman Commission, according to KREM2.

Details are still unclear, but the news outlet reports that an independent investigation looked into a whistle-blower complaint filed against three members of the City of Spokane’s Police Ombudsman Commission. The probe found behavioral misconduct during interactions with city employees by three members of the commission, including Dolezal, the report says.

Dolezal, whose term on the commission expires Sept. 15, 2016, stepped down as head of the city’s NAACP chapter on Monday, after allegations by her own parents that she misled people about her race, notes the report.

From KREM2:

The eight findings in the report admonish the conduct of chair Rachel Dolezal and commissioners Kevin Berkompas and Adrian Dominguez according to a press release issued Wednesday. Investigators began looking into the claims on May 4.

“We are deeply disturbed by the facts contained in the report of findings from the independent investigator,” Spokane Mayor David Condon and Council President Ben Stuckart said in a joint statement. “The conduct is unacceptable and falls far short of the community’s expectations of volunteers who sit on City boards and commissions.”

Kevin Berkompas, Adrian Dominguez and Rachel Dolezal all began serving on the Police Ombudsman Commission on September 15, 2004. Berkompas and Dominguez’s terms are up in September 2017.
