One of the easiest ways to keep your body clean and happy is to make sure it’s properly hydrated. Water flushes out harmful toxins and helps maintain regularity. Basically, water helps your body do its job as efficiently as possible.
Yet another water-based solution is to try detox tea from your local health food store. Usually they contain dandelion root/leaves, which can be useful for healthy digestion and kidney function.
Increase your daily fiber intake to 25-35 grams (top sources include beans, black-eyed peas, whole wheat flour, bran, berries and prunes).
Bring On The Produce!
Make sure you’re eating 3-5 servings of fruit and veggies every day. In addition to containing important vitamins and other nutrients, veggies contain fiber, which, again, helps keep your body clean. At the same time, try to reduce your meat intake (especially red meat) to no more than one or two times a week.
Another helpful step may be to talk to a nutritionist about additional ways you can eat cleaner, such as incorporating cleansing herbs and/or other nutrients into your diet.
