Tune into an all-new episode of ‘BEING,’

Airing Saturday (Mar. 29) on Centric

Donnie McClurkin 2014 - 1

Gospel singer and minister Donnie McClurkin is bringing a story of tragedy, triumph and faith to a brand new episode of Centric’s original docu-series “BEING.”

The 54-year-old artist has sold more than ten million albums worldwide and is the owner of three Grammys, two Soul Train Awards, two BET Awards, one NAACP Image Award and more for his work in the realm of music. Songs such as “Stand,” “Speak To My Heart,” “We Fall Down,” “We Love You, Lord” and “The Prayer” have not only uplifted his listeners, but spoken directly to McClurkin himself during difficult times.

Growing up in Amityville, New York, the star endured a tough upbringing with the death of this 2-year-old brother, substance abuse among his sisters and sexual abuse at the hands of great uncle and his great uncle’s son. It was through the power of church and song that McClurkin was able to keep his peace of mind and truly find his voice.

As one of the top gospel singers of his time and Senior Pastor at Perfecting Faith Church in Freeport, New York, McClurkin has quite the story to tell on what it’s like being at the top of his game.

Catch an all-new episode of “BEING: Donnie McClurkin,” airing this Saturday (Mar. 29) at 9 p.m. EST on Centric.
