Thirteen people accused of sex-trafficking in Houston are in custody and will go before a Federal Judge Friday afternoon.

The FBI shut down a sex-trafficking operation in Houston on Thursday night that they say made at least $12 million over more than a decade by forcing undocumented women and underage undocumented girls into prostitution.

Thirteen of 14 people who were indicted for their alleged roles in the operation have been captured. One remains on the run.

The arrests took place in a coordinated sweep of almost a dozen locations, including several bars.

According to a federal indictment the victims were often punched and kicked and locked in rooms while being forced to work as prostitutes.
