Pastor Joel Osteen is praising Nik Wallenda‘s 1400 foot walk on a tightrope across the Little Colorado River Gorge.
He was asked by Wallenda a couple of months back to attend his stunt. The pastor met Wallenda when the circus came to town several years ago. He’s always been a fan of the Wallenda family and agreed to attend. He prayed with the family beforehand and though he is a man of faith, he says watching it was still nerve-racking.
He calls the stunt inspiring and shows everyone that no task is impossible.
Wallenda made the walk without a rope or tether into winds gusting at about 30 mph. It took a little less than 23 minutes to complete.
Osteen took to Twitter to share his thoughts about the event:
Here at the Grand Canyon with my friend @NikWallenda. Praying for his success! Watch Live now on @Discovery. #Skywire
