After a one-two punch from two recent rain events, some southwest Houston homeowners are now looking to the city for answers.

Contractor Martin Jasso is a friend of the homeowner. He says about 10 homes in this Westbury neighborhood flooded during Houston’s most recent thunderstorms.

Dale Rudick heads Rebuild Houston — the program responsible for street maintenance and drainage. He says the city cannot fix problems overnight that have been underfunded and overlooked for years. He urges flooded homeowners to let the city know, by calling 311.
