Closing arguments in the Jessica Tata felony murder trial will be heard Monday morning.

Judge Marc Brown excused the jurors for the weekend, but reminded them to be prepared Monday to be sequestered during their deliberation.

The trial wraps up nearly three weeks of testimony.

Tata is facing four counts of felony murder….four children perished in the day care fire back in february of 2011.

During the trial the prosecution called witnesses that included surviving mothers of the children, neighbors who witnessed the fire and spoke to Tata at the scene, firefighters and several child care experts.

The prosecution presented video and reciepts that prove Tata had left the daycare the day of the fire to go shopping.

Fire investigators believe the fire was caused by an oil filled frying pan that was left on the stove on low heat.

Tata claims she was in the bathroom of the daycare when the fire started.

Her defense team led by Mike Deguerin brought in just a few witnesses…..an electrical engineer who has expertise in electrical fires. Richard Banyata testified the stove was defective. He also introduced a theory that a faulty refrigerator could be blamed for the blaze.

If found guilty Tata could spend the rest of her life behind bars.
