Police have charged two people with aggravated kidnapping in the abduction of a one-year-old boy from Alvin. An Amber Alert was issued for one-year old Manuel Recinda Tuesday evening after he was kidnapped just after 5:00 p.m.
Police plan on arresting additional individuals. Reports indicate that the baby was grabbed from his stroller Tuesday. According to the mother of Manuel Recendea, three men and two women took her son around 5:30pm, then fled. The boy was dropped off at Southeast Memorial Hospital by four women last night after police negotiated the baby’s release. The identity of the suspects was not released at the time of this report. As police continue to investigate the case, it is not clear why the baby was taken.
