A reward is still offered for a second suspect in connection with a Houston nightclub fire last month.

After widespread media coverage and Crime Stoppers’ offers for information left him no choice, Jaime Mata turned himself in to police on Saturday evening. He remarked to arson investigators his face was all over the news.

Surveillance cameras had caught Mata and a second man blocking the front door of a nightclub in the 8000 block of Harrisburg and then dousing the back of the building with gasoline and setting it on fire. Mata is charged with second degree felony arson and his bond has been raised to $100,000.

Investigators say the second suspect goes by the name of “Pepe” or “Pedro” and he has several distinctive tattoos, including one on his chest that appears to be baby’s feet surrounded by writing.

If you have any information about his identity or whereabouts, please call 713-222-TIPS.
