Praise has just learned that one half of the legendary soul/ R&B ground Ashford & Simpson has died of throat cancer.

They Came to prominence with such hits as “Solid as a Rock” and “It’s seems to hang on” while also writing classics for others such as “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” and “Reach Out And Touch Somebody’s Hand” by Diana Ross and “You’re All I Need To Get By” by  MarvinGaye and Tammi Terrell, and the anthem “I’m Every Woman” by  Chaka Khan which was later remade by Whitney Houston.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters, lets be in prayer for them!
