HOUSTON (KTRK) — A baby was the victim of a drive-by shooting in north Houston overnight.

It happened around midnight at a home on Ferguson Way just off Veterans Memorial. Police say a vehicle pulled up in front of the home and someone in the vehicle sprayed the home with bullets. At least 20 to 30 rounds were fired into the home, where there were at least two children inside. One of the bullets went straight through the front wall of the house and into the back room where the 3-month-old was sleeping in a crib.

The child was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital and is expected to recover. Police say the infant has a bullet lodged in its body.

Meanwhile, police do not have a suspect or a motive in this case. Police do not have a description of the vehicle. If you have any information, you’re being asked to call authorities.
