HOUSTON—A multi-million-dollar home in the Heights was completely destroyed by a three-alarm fire early Monday morning and investigators are still trying to locate the homeowner and her caretaker.

HFD said a tenant living in the garage apartment escaped unharmed, but firefighters were unsure who else was in the home when the fire started.

Crews arrived around 4 a.m. to find the home, located at 1135 Heights Boulevard, engulfed in flames.  Firefighters immediately went on the defensive, but the intense blaze grew to three alarms.  One firefighter sustained burns to his feet and was transported to the hospital for treatment.  He is expected to recover.
