Marvin Sapp and his three beautiful children honored their beloved wife and mother first lady, MaLinda during her homegoing services this week in Grandville, Michigan.  Several prominent figures in the gospel, local and world paid their respect with remarks and tributes during the service.  Reverend Jesse Jackson, Pastor Marvin Winans, Karen Clark Sheard, Rance Allen and Johnathan Dunn to name a few were in attendance.  Sapp and children, Mikaila, Madisson and Marvin Jr. accompanied their dad to the podium and the girls recited the heartfelt poem, “Footprints in the Sand” by Mary Stevenson. The oldest child, Marvin Jr. stood in support but remained silent.

In a time when it would appear that Marvin Sapp would be speechless and broken he began with saying, ” Thank you all for being with us on today and being such as support. My faith has extended even more today, I yet believe GOD.” He went further on to speak about the time leading up to his precious wife’s passing and how he had continued to preach each Sunday and ushered their kids daily to school as her time was dwindling away.  He said he would usually sing “Falling In Love With Jesus” before he preached his sermon but the last several weeks he started singing “Let Go, Let GOD.”  Pastor Sapp graced the room with a sample of the song before exiting with his children.

What a testimony of faith and strength.  Please continued to keep the Sapp Family in your prayers.
