Former Def Jam executive J.E. Jones is slated to release his solo gospel debut album titled Fire. In the 90s, Jones was Vice President of A&R for releases from artists including Mary J. Blige, Montell Jordan, and Heavy D. In addition, Jones served as executive producer for the soundtracks of The Nutty Professor and Rush Hour. The new project, Fire, is slated for a July 20 release date on the Ultimate Entertainment label.
