A tragic single-car accident left one woman dead on the 610 freeway early this morning.

A woman was killed early Friday morning in a single-vehicle crash on the West Loop.It happened near where the loop passes over I-10.
Police said the woman lost control and crashed into the freeway wall, perhaps as the result of a medical issue.
Crews had the road blocked for several hours until the scene was cleared, just after 5 a.m.
The victim’s name has not yet been released. Our prayers go out to her family and friends.
