The women of “American Idol” were back on stage Wednesday night.  Originally scheduled to perform on Tuesday, the female hopefuls were forced to perform a day later due to finalist Crystal Bowersox’s illness.  Fortunately for the 24-year-old Ohio resident, her trip to the hospital didn’t ruin her performance of Creedance Clearwater Revival’s “Long As I Can See The Light.”

Crystal impressed the judges Wednesday night, but earlier in the day it wasn’t known if she was even going to sing.  The vocalist was hospitalized earlier in the week with diabetes complications, and it was reported that she would be off the show if she couldn’t perform on Wednesday.  Other “Idol” hopefuls who made a good impression last night included Michelle Delamor with her version of Creed’s “With Arms Wide Open,” and Jill Scott with a performance of Sam Cooke’s “A Change Is Gonna Come.”  Siobhan Magnus closed out the show with a well-received rendition of Aretha Franklin’s “Think.”

Fox’s “American Idol” will return tonight, as two men and two women are sent home.  Tonight’s episode will also include a performance from season eight finalist Danny Gokey.  Catch “American Idol” on FOX at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.
