American Idol” Reaches Final 24

(Undated)  —  “American Idol” is one step closer to determining the country’s next singing superstar.  The complete list of the final 24 contestants was revealed last night.  Seven of the finalists were announced Tuesday, leaving spots for just ten women and seven men on Wednesday.  Lacey Brown made the top 50 during season eight, and hoped that her year of experience would lead to a much higher finish this time around.

{While Lacey’s determination paid off, the same could not be said for Angela Martin.  The aspiring singer was making her third attempt at becoming the next “American Idol,” but was unfortunately stopped short of realizing her dream once again.  Others advancing to the final 24 include Katie Stevens, Andrew Garcia, Jose Munoz, Lilly Scott and Michelle Delomar.

The top 12 female contestants will take the stage next Tuesday night on a live, all-new episode of Fox’s “American Idol,” which gets underway at 8:00 p.m. Eastern.  The guys will grab the mic on next Wednesday’s show.
