American Idol” Moves Closer To Final 24
(Undated) — Fox’s hit reality series “American Idol” is one step closer to reaching its final 24. On Tuesday night’s installment the remaining 71 contestants had to deliver one final performance in front of the judges in order to keep their “Idol” hopes alive. Unfortunately for Katelyn Epperly, “Idol” judge Ellen DeGeneres had a little fun at her expense before informing her of her future on the show.
Other singers joining Katelyn in the final 24 include Michael “Big Mike” Lynche, Casey James, Aaron Kelly and Todrick Hall. But not everyone was fortunate enough to move on. After discovering that her time on “Idol” had come to an end, Jessica Furney delivered a passionate plea to the judges to change their minds. Simon and company were unwilling to switch their vote, and for the second season in a row Furney’s “Idol” dream fell short. In total, seven of the final 24 contestants were revealed. Tune in to Fox tonight as the remaining ten female and seven male contestants are announced. The all-new episode gets underway at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
