A bank robbery suspect wrote his demand note on the back of his parole instructions, an FBI spokesperson said.

William Cole Hall was arrested Wednesday morning at a Galleria-area coffee shop just blocks from the bank he allegedly robbed Friday afternoon, FBI Spokeswoman Pat Villafranco said. He is charged with robbery.

Hall allegedly used a note to threaten the teller at a bank in the 4900 block of San Felipe, Villafranco said. He kept his hand in his pocket, acting like he had a weapon.

But after the robbery, investigators discovered that his demand note was written on the back of his parole instruction form, she said.

The form included his Texas Department of Criminal Justice inmate number, Villafranco said.

Villafranco did not specify on what conviction Hall was on parole.
