Season three “American Idol” winner Fantasia is out of a North Carolina hospital after a medication overdose this week.  E! News quotes Fantasia’s manager Brian Dickens who says his client is thankful for all the support she’s received, adding, quote, “She is more committed than ever to her daughter and her work because they are her heart, her soul and inspiration.”  Fantasia spent two days in the hospital after overdosing on Aspirin and sleep aids in what authorities believe was a suicide attempt.  Fantasia’s hospitalization came just days after a woman named Paula Cook alleged in legal papers that the singer had been having an affair with her husband, Antwaun Cook, adding that the two recorded their sexual encounters.

Dickens says Fantasia believed Antwaun Cook when he said he and his wife had separated last summer and were no longer living together.  Fantasia’s VH1 reality series, “Fantasia For Real,” is scheduled to debut its second season on September 19th.
