(Undated)  —  The pressure continues to mount on Fox’s “American Idol,” as the remaining eight female finalists took the stage Tuesday night.  Twenty-three-year-old Tennessee vocalist Didi Benami hopes that her rendition of Fleetwood Mac’s “Rhiannon” will impress the viewers as much as it did the judges.

Ohio’s Crystal Bowersox has been one of the strongest contestants in this year’s field, and on Tuesday she continued showcase her vocal skills with a performance of Tracy Chapman’s “Give Me One Reason.”  Siobhan Magnus received positive reviews singing The Animals’ “House of the Rising Sun,” while Lilly Scott was applauded for her performance of Patsy Cline’s “I Fall To Pieces.”

Tonight, the remaining eight male contestants will take the stage hoping to earn the votes of the American public.  Then on Thursday night the top 12 contestants will be announced.  Tune into Fox for an all-new “American Idol” tonight at 9:00 p.m. Eastern.
