After two days of deliberations, the jury found Travis McMichael, Gregory McMichael and William Roddie Bryan guilty of felony murder.
“Turning Ahmaud Arbery into a victim after the choices that he made does not reflect the reality of what brought Ahmaud Arbery to Satilla Shores in his khaki shorts, with no socks to cover his long, dirty toenails,” said Laura Hogue, who represents Greg McMichael.
A father and son have been arrested and charged with murder in the shooting death of Ahmaud Arbery in February. George McMichael and Travis McMichael allegedly shot Arbery after they believed he was a burglar. Arbery's family insist he was jogging and video of the incident has been released to the public.
