Celebrating The Life, Legacy Of Dr. Ron Kenoly

Renowned gospel singer and worship leader Ron Kenoly passed away on Tuesday morning at the age of 81 years old. Kenoly’s death was confirmed by his friend and musician Bruno Miranda in a post on Instagram,. The cause of his death has not been disclosed. Kenoly, who grew up in Kansas and had a career spanning several decades, started as an R&B artist in the 1970s before transitioning to worship music. The worship leader made his first album, “Jesus Is Alive,” in 1991, and he went on to record numerous other albums over the next few decades.
Dr. Kenoly’s journey began humbly in Coffeyville, Kansas, where he was born on December 6, 1944. From singing in churches to serving his country in the U.S. Air Force, Ron’s life was shaped by devotion—to God, to family, and to the call of worship upon his heart. His ministry took a defining turn in the mid-1980s, when he became Music Pastor at Jubilee Christian Center in San Jose, California, and began to “create an environment for the manifest presence of God,” a mission that would define his life and music.He later founded Ron Kenoly Ministries, which was based in Orlando. He founded Ron Kenoly Ministries in Orlando, Florida, and released multiple albums throughout his career. Kenoly was 81 years old at the time of his passing.
