AV Daily Power Point “If God Is For Us ‘
“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Romans 8:31
I’ve had seasons where the loudest voice against me was my own. Replaying old failures. Rehearsing worst-case scenarios. Convinced that this time, the thing I’m facing will finally be the thing that undoes me.
Paul knew loud voices too. He’d been shipwrecked, beaten, stoned and left for dead, betrayed by people he trusted. His life looked like a losing battle. And yet he asks one audacious question: “If God is for us, who can be against us?”
Notice he doesn’t say nothing will be against us. He says it won’t ultimately win. God isn’t pretending the struggle isn’t real; He’s placing His decision above every accusation. It’s like the Judge Himself has stepped down from the bench to stand at your side.
The criticism is real, yet God is for you. The uncertainty is real, yet God is for you. Even the voice in your own head telling you you’re not enough—God is louder, and He is for you.
This isn’t pretending everything is fine. It’s remembering who is standing with you. Your problems don’t magically shrink, but they stop having the final word, because the One who is for you is bigger than anything that’s against you.
And He has never lost.
