Reading is the most attractive hobby a man can have, according to a study that has sparked spirited debate online.
The Daily Mail reported that a survey conducted by Date found that 98-percent of women rated reading as attractive. Following reading to even out the top five hottest male hobbies are learning a foreign language, playing an instrument, cooking and woodworking. Over two-thirds of women rated crypto, comic books and cosplay as unattractive.
Reading came out on top, with a staggering 98.2% of women rating it as an attractive hobby.
Learning foreign languages, playing an instrument, cooking, and woodworking rounded out the top five, suggesting females are largely looking for a lad who’s cultured and well-rounded.
The couple who reads together, stays together, says a study published by Super Summary. But is it true?
“I think I would agree with that. I know definitely sharing interests and having a conversation with somebody that has read the same books I have read or shares the same imagination or wild references that I spit out, it’s eye-opening to me,” said Bree Menefee an employee at Bookhounds Books, Records, Movies in Bakersfield.
Although attractiveness is subjective, the study also found that 81% of women and 77% of men believed that being a reader was attractive. But just in case going to a bookstore skewed our results, I wanted to make sure to give everyday normal folks a chance to give their two cents.
